Died.
FOLEY--At the residence of her son, John Foley, Esq., in this village, on Saturday, May 3, 1877, of chronic diarrhea, Mrs. Catherine Foley.
Mrs. Foley was born in the county of Galway, Ireland, and was sixty years old. She came to this country in 1847 and settled in Baltimore. Here her husband died; and in 1857 she came west with her only child, our present efficient Treasurer, and settled in Chickasaw county.
Endowed by nature with a vigorous mind, and trained to habits of self-reliance by the early loss of her husband, she acquired the habit of thinking for herself, and acting upon her own opinions.
She lived a pure and blameless life, devoted to her family, and died as widely lamented as she was known.
