May 4th, of diphtheria, in Oak Dale Tp., Mrs. Laura A., wife of Homer W. Partch, aged 30 years.

Diphtheria entered the family circle and snatched away the loved ones, though all was done that could be to arrest its porgress. Mrs. Partch died in the triumphs of a living faith in Christ. Her last end was peaceful, though her sufferings were severe, and she made many expressions of her trust in the Savior of the world.

The Lord did give, the Lord has taken

Blessed be his Holy Name

May our trust in earth be shaken

And our faith in Heaven remain.
