Died.

KEEFE--In Afton township Howard county, Iowa, April 30th, 1874, of consumption, Mary Keefe. wife of Charles Keefe, aged 31 years, 4 months and 16 days.

The deceased was born in St. Lawrence county N. Y. from whence she emigrated to Afton township in 1862, and where she resided up to the time of her death, respected and beloved by all who knew her. Her funeral was attended by at least four hundred persons, the procession numbering seventy-five teams, evidence of the esteem in which she was held by those who met to pay their last tribute of respect to her memory. The funeral discourse was preached by the Rev. Father Feeley of Charles city.
