In Austin, June 27, Mrs. Amanda Fenton, consort of E. D. Fenton, aged 42 years.

Mrs. F. was a lady of very estimable qualities of head and heart, and was much loved and respected by all who knew her. She was born and received her education in Chatauqua county, N. Y. She settled in Austin with her husband in the spring of 1858, hence was one of the early pioneer of our town and county. She was long afflicted with cancer in the throat and for the last nine months was bed ridden. Her relatives have the sincere sympathy of all.
