Death of Dr. Manney

A dispatch from Faribault announces the death, at one o'clock Tuesday morning, of Rev. Solon W. Manney D. D., Professor of Divinity in the Seabury Divinity School of Faribault. On the previous day Dr. Manney had a leg amputated, and being past the meridian of life, the operation was deemed critical, and was only undertaken at his special request.

Dr. Manney had been connected with the Seabury Mission almost from its inception, and to him the institution is much indebted for its present high character and means of usefulness. His loss will be deeply felt by the church, and by numerous personal friends to whom he had become greatly endeared.
