Larry Mrachek, 28, Former County Resident, Killed in Oliver Mishap

Larry D. Mrachek, 28, of Charles City was killed Monday in an accident at the Oliver plant in Charles City.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Charles City Immaculate Conception church with the Rev. Thomas Braak officiating. Burial will be in the the Calvary cemetery. Scripture services will be held tonight (Wednesday) at 8:00 p.m. at the Houser Funeral home in Charles City.

Larry Mrachek was born July 10, 1943, at Decorah, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mrachek. He attended school in Protivin and was a graduate of Rudolphinum high school. On Aug. 2, 1969, he married Carol Cable at Cresco, He had been employed of Olivers for the last six years.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; his parents of Charles City; a brother, Gerald of Charles City; a sister, Sharon of Charles City; and his maternal grandfather, Albert Truka of Spillville.
