Daniel Murray Funeral Conducted on Saturday
Funeral services for Daniel Lloyd Murray were held at the Bradley-Lindstrom Funeral home Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Burial was in the Phillip’s cemetery near Bonair. The Rev. George Baker officiated.
Mr. Murray died Jan. 21, of a heart attack at his home in Bonair, at the age of 75.
Daniel Murray was born August 28, 1894, at Pringree Grove, Ill., the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Murray.
He was married to Eva Mae Grabau on August 30, 1916, at the Methodist parsonage at Cresco, with the Rev. Will Kirwin officiating. Since May 1959 he had lived in Bonair, after his retirement as assistant engineer at the Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo.
He was preceded in death by a son, Paul, who died in 1956 and also three brothers, Henry, James and William.
Mr. Murray is survived by his wife; a son, Lyell of Cresco; three daughters, Mrs. Carl (Ruth) Ulm of Evansdale, Mrs. Greg (Esther) Zweibohmer of Ossian, and Mrs. Dean (Rosetta) Burkey of Waterloo; also 21 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one brother, Melvin of Tacoma, Wash.
