She was married to O. V. Wilcox of LaPorte county, Ind., Feb. 18, 1858. The children of this union are C. S. Wilcox of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and L. Oneita Smith near Lime Springs, Iowa. Mrs. Wilcox was a rare character; one of God’s noble women. Was esteemed by all her neighbors, because of her gentle manners and kindness of heart, and was a benediction in her home. To know her was to love her. It was ever her manifest desire to use her influence for the cause of righteousness, and her memory will ever be cherished by those who knew her in her active life.
