Ruth Moser services held today (Wed.)

Funeral services for Ruth Moser, 69, will be held at 11:00 a.m. today (Wed.) February 26 at United Methodist Church in Cresco. The Rev. Allen Wiese will be officiating with interment to be in the Howard Center Cemetery. Lindstrom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ruth died Sunday, February 23, 1992, at the Cresco Care Center due to failing health.

Ruth Margaret Moser was born May 31, 1922, in Clayton Co. the daughter of Walter L. and Margaret (Aulwes) Moser. The family moved to Northwood, IA when Ruth was a child. She graduated from high school at Northwood in 1939. She attended nurses training at Sioux City, IA and later taught rural schools in Howard and Winneshiek Counties until 1950 when she went to work for an insurance company in Kansas City. She returned to work for the ASCS in Howard Co. in 1952 and retired in 1976. Following that she worked part time at the Cresco Public Library.

She is survived by three brothers, Robert Moser and William Moser of Lime Springs, IA and Dean Moser of Robins, IA; three sisters, Phyllis Steinmetz of Tallahassee, FL, and Motsy Mohlis and Louise Meyer of Plymouth, MN, along with her nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great great niece.

Preceding her in death were her parents, one brother, Jeffrey and a niece and nephew.
