Services held for Donald Rimrodt

Funeral services for Donald Rimrodt, 67, of Alta Vista were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 25, 1997, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church in Alta Vista. Rev. Roger R. Rethamel officiated. Interment was in Mount Calvary Cemetery with Conway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

He died Tuesday, January 21, 1997, at his home after a short illness.

Donald Rimrodt was born in Elma on October 27, 1929, the son of Fred and Hazel (Schmidt) Rimrodt. He attended the rural school and graduated from Elma High School.

He was united in marriage on April 30, 1957, to Vera Bouska at Waucoma, IA. They made their home on a farm in the Alta Vista area.

Donald belonged to the Elma/AltaVista Sportmens Club and was a member of St. Bernard’s Church. He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Jeanette Johnson of Cedar Rapids, IA; Karla Crowell of Littleton, CO; and Barbara Rimrodt of Mason City, IA; three sons, Fredrich and Lee, both of Alta Vista; and Daniel of Matthews, NC; and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
