Charles Thomas Paul was born May 1, 1863 at Janesville, Wis., and passed away at his home near Lime Springs, Monday, March 2, 1936 being 72 years and 10 months old at the time of his death. He moved to McGregor, Iowa when a boy and later to Cresco, Howard County and then to Lime Springs where he lived for many years. He was one of a family of ten children, all of whom with the exception of a brother and two sisters preceded him in death. He united with the Methodist church at Bonair and when that church closed had his membership transferred to Riceville. He attended regularly the Methodist church in Lime Springs. The following mourn the departure of a most affectionate brother, two sisters, Nellie Paul and Mrs. Lillian Inglehart Paul of Lime Springs and a brother, Edward George Paul of Huntington Park, Calif. Funeral services were held from the home by his pastor, Rev. Richard Prescott, who sang by request two of his favorite hymns. Burial was in the family grave at Howard Center cemetery.
