Albion Township Resident Passed Beyond Nov. 28

Mrs. Minnie Keune, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Bigalk, was born April 12, 1865 in Dodge County, Wis. and passed from this life to the life beyond on November 28, 1933 at the age of 68 years, 7 months and 16 days.

In her early childhood, she moved with her parents to Cresco and settled on a farm In Albion Twp., Howard County. She was united in marriage to William Keune June 17, 1886 and since then has lived on their farm in Albion township.

This union was blessed with one daughter and three sons. The husband, and daughter, Emma, preceded her in death.

For the past fourteen years she made her home with her son, Wesley and family, and during her sickness has been tenderly cared for by her children, being assisted the last three years by Miss Ida Jones.

Mrs. Keune was a charter member of Zion Evangelical Church, and has been faithful to it for about fifty years, taking a vital interest in all of the church life. As long as she was physically able, it was her joy and delight to have a part in the public worship of her church. She loved the music of the Gospel and gave herself heartily to the singing of spiritual songs. To the last day of her life in the flesh, when her pastor and wife visited her she requested communion, prayer and song.

She leaves to mourn her departure, three sons, Amiel, Herbert and Wesley. Five grandchildren, Gordon, Mae, Earl, Dale, and Burdette, one great granddaughter Gloria June, all of Albion Twp. Two sisters, Caroline Hanneman of Beaver Dam, Wis. and Mrs. Mary Aug of Harmony, Minn.; two brothers, Amiel Bigalk of Cresco, and John Bigalk of Harmony, Minn, together with a large number of other relatives and friends. Two sisters, Elvlna and Ida, also two brothers, Fred and William, have preceded her in death.

Call back not the dearly departed;
Anchored safe where storms are o'er.
On the border land we left her,
Soon to meet and part no more.
When we leave this world of changes
When we leave this world of care,
We shall find our missing loved one,
In our Father's Mansions there.

The funeral services were conducted Friday, December 1, at 2 p.m. from the Evangelical church by the pastor Rev. Park R. Miller, assisted by Rev. A. W. Schlesselman. The body was laid to rest in the family lot in Cedar Hill cemetery. The floral tributes were profuse and lovely. The Bradley service in accommodating the overflow attendance was appreciated by all.
