SHARON LEE WALTER SUMMONED BY DEATH

There has gone from our midst a child, who was beloved by all, one who radiated sunshine and love and kindness, one who was beautiful, both as to physical form and in character. Because of her grace and charm she attracted all who knew her.

Sharon Lee Walter was born on June 14th, 1939, at Cresco and passed to her heavenly home July 18, 1942, at the age of three years, one month and 2 days.

She was the daughter of Ervin and Ada Walter.

She is survived by her parents, her sister Sandra Kay, grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Louis Walter and Mr. and Mrs. Severt Knutson, great grandmother Caroline Kratz; and great grandfather Albert Reinhart, who, by adoption, is also Sharon Lee's grandfather. Also there are two uncles, Virgil and Dale Walter, several great uncles, great aunts and other relatives. These and many many friends mourn, what seems to us, the altogether too early departure of our young friend.

Sharon Lee was baptized Sept. 10, 1939, in the Zion church. She was a member of the Sunday school and loved to attend the services of it and the church.

She was the baby health champion at the Fillmore county, Minn., fair in 1940.

"Little children, little children
Who love their redeemer,
Are the jewels, precious jewels,
His loved and his own.
Like stars of the morning
His bright crown adorning,
They shall shine in their hearty,
Bright gems for his crown."

Funeral services were held at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Zion church, the Rev. A. L. Walker officiating. Burial was in Cedar Hill cemetery.

Pall bearers were four girls: Eleanor Kratz, Patsy Morris, Shirley Bigalk and Lillian Lanz.

Relatives and friends attending the funeral from a distance were Mrs. George Weger of Strawberry Point; Mr. and Mrs. Falck, Mr. and Mrs. Orvin Reinhart, Mr. and Mrs. John Reinhart, Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Schild, Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Kratz, Ridgeway; Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Reinhart and daughter, Waucoma; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Reinhart, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Heimerdinger, Mrs. Alice Heimerdinger, Rosa and Emma Heimerdinger, Lawler; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dreckman, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dreckman, Albert Reinhart, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reinhart, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Haeflinger, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Piehn, Alta Vista; Mr. and Mrs. E. S. Reinhart and Mildred, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Reinhart, Austin; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Russell, Rochester; Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Schalecamp and son, Sioux Center, la.; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Reinhart, Elma; Rev. and Mrs. C. A. Claypool, Alta Vista; Mr. and Mrs. Frank White, Spring Valley.

In Memoriam

"Just a little girlie
But we loved her so
It just seemed the heart would break
When we knew she'd go.
But the heart grows lighter
Gladness chases woe,
When we know she'll meet the babe
Born so long ago.
Other little children
Will meet her at the door,
Lead her to the Master
Who could ask for more?
Just a little darling,
Only three years old,
Another wee white lambie
Gathered to the fold."
Sympathy from Helen and Milton Thomas.

The following memorials were given as gifts to: Iowa Soldiers orphanage home by Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Kratz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Walter and sons.

Gifts to missions: Mr. and Mrs. Albert Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. T. J. Thomas and Everett, Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Steinmetz, Mr. and Mrs. Orel Felland, Estella Miller, The Woman's Missionary society of the Evangelical church.
