FORESTON: Monday, July 12, happened another very sad affair in the western part of this township. George Jones, a young man who was working for Evan Evans, was unloading hay with a hay fork. The trip rope broke, letting him fall backward to the ground, partially paralyzing him. In spite of all medical aid and care of his friends Friday night he passed away and was buried Saturday at two o'clock at the Foreston cemetery. He was the son of William Jones who met his death as many remember by a large log falling and striking him at the back of the head and killing him instantly while working at the Foreston mill a few years ago. These are singular cases for father and son to meet death so suddenly. Thus we have a warning, as we know not when nor how we shall be called away. George was troubled very much on his death bed that he had not lived a better life.
