Henry H. Wittenbreer was born Sept. 9, 1867, in Putnam county, Ohio, and died at his residence in Howard county, Iowa, Dec. 21, 1910.

When two years of age he removed with his parents to Fayette county, Iowa, and a few days later moved to Chickasaw county. From thence he came to Riceville in 1891. In 1904 he was married to Miss Adna Houska of Saratoga. There have come to bless their union three children, Katherine Elizabeth, aged 3, Lucy Anna, aged 2, and John Henry, aged 4 months.

He leaves to mourn his loss, his mother, three brothers, four sisters, his widow and children.

Mr. Wittenbreer has been a patient sufferer, and passed to the better land at a time of life when most men are preparing to live.
