DEATH OF MRS. HOFT

The community was shocked on Thursday of last week to learn of the death of Mrs. Fred Hoft which occurred at four o'clock that morning. She became the mother of a dear baby girl on April 29th and seemed to be doing fine until the first of the week when she was not so well. A physician was summoned from Midale and later, one from Weyburn but she passed away in spite of medical aid.

Ellen, F. Kettleson was born in New Oregon county, Iowa, on January 13, 1873, and died May 6, 1909.

Deceased was married to Fred Hoft in May 1897, to whom she has been a most faithful and loving companion. Four small children, the oldest of which is eleven years and the youngest one week old, will miss the mother's care and loving council. They began married life on a farm near Riceville, Iowa, where they resided until last fall when they decided to come to Canada and establish their home in the west.

Deceased was a quiet, conscientious woman, possessed of a hospitable spirit. In the home she was a loving and devoted mother and in the home circle the loss will be most deeply felt. To the sorrowing ones who are called upon to mourn this irreparable loss, the profound sympathy of the community is extended. (Macoun (Sask.) Messenger.
