At high noon on October 20 at the Henry Bastian home near Granger occurred the marriage of their daughter Rose to John Newell, of Bristol. The couple, attended by Myrtle Ohl and Raymond Newell, proceeded to the place decorated for the solemn ceremonial act, while Miss Clara Dell Wickham played the wedding march. The Rev. Im Dequisne read the ceremony and thus united two hearts as one. The bride carried a bouquet of rosebuds and attired in a wedding gown of robin’s egg blue satin and georgette, and a wreath and veil, made a beautiful appearance. Her maid was gowned in pink china silk. The groom, a fine young man, looked very stately in the conventional blue. The best man was similarly dressed. After Mr. and Mrs. Newell had received the hearty wishes and congratulations of their many relatives and friends present, a bountiful three course dinner was served. The young couple will reside on the Henry Bastian farm. May their married life be one of continuous happiness and success.
