Soldier Boy Married at Davenport
The following item of news, clipped from a Davenport daily, was handed us by Mrs. John Byrnes, mother of the groom:
“At the Sacred Heart rectory at 6 o’clock p. m. on Tuesday, March 12, Very Rev. J. T. A. Flannagan officiating, were married Carl Steinmetx, a soldier at the Rock Island arsenal, and Miss Emma Mohs, of Cresco, Iowa. The attendants were Mr. John and Miss Mary Steinmetz, of Cresco, brother and sister of the groom.”
