Schlader-Drilling.
The marriage of Miss Catherine Schlader of this city and John Drilling Jr., of Cresco was solemnized Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock at St. John’s Church, Rev. R. P. Murphy officiating. They were attended by John Jacobs of Winona and Miss Anna Schlader a sister of the bride. The wedding march was played by Miss Emma Schlader. The bride was gowned in a white silk dress and wore a bridal veil. A wedding dinner was served at the bride’s home at which twenty relatives were present.
The bride is the third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jake Schlader of Clarion and is a deserving young lady. For the past seven months she has been employed in the home of her uncle near Cresco and it was here that she met her husband, who is a progressive young farmer and said to be a fine young man in every respect.
Mr. and Mrs. Drilling departed yesterday for Carroll on a brief wedding trip, after which they will return to Cresco to make their home. Success to them. Clarion, Ia. Monitor.
