Bigalk-Rounds.
A pretty wedding took place July 4 at noon at the Wm. Bigalk home in Albion township when their son Newton C. and Susie L. Rounds were pronounced husband and wife, Rev. Scholer, pastor of the Evangelical Church officiating. They were attended by Wm. Bigalk, brother of the groom and Gladys Luneborg, a friend of the bride. Only the near relatives were present.
The bride was dressed in ivory satin with opalescent trimming, and carried a beautiful bouquet of roses. The bridesmaid wore a pale blue voile. The groom wore a dark blue serge suit and also the best man was dressed in dark blue.
The groom is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bigalk and grew to manhood in the community where he has the respect and confidence of all who know him. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Rounds of Santa Anna, Cal. formerly of Chester, Ia.
For several years she has successfully taught in the public schools in Howard county and has gained the love and respect of all who know her.
A sumptuous wedding dinner was served after which the young couple started by auto on a wedding trip intending to stop at Mason City, Clear Lake and Belmont, Ia.
After July 10th they will be at home on the Wm. Bigalk farm. They have the best wishes of a host of friends.
