Elwood – Church Marriage 1917

Married at Elma.
Miss Alice Church and Hon. Lee Elwood, of Elma, will be married this evening at eight o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents, at Elma. Rev. B. E. Marsh, of the Congregational church of this city, will have charge of the wedding ceremony.
Miss Church is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. W. Church. She is a splendid little woman and an accomplished lady. She is the sister of Mrs. T. K. Young, of this city, and Mrs. Chas. Garmen, of Elma.
Mr. Elwood is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Elwood, of Elma. He is an excellent man and an honorable citizen, who has for four years represented Howard county in the Iowa State Legislature.
Mr. and Mrs. Elwood will go on an extended wedding trip and later will be at home to their friends at Elma.—New Hampton Tribune, June 27.
