MARRIED.
On Tuesday morning, May 8, 1917, at 7 o’clock, at the Church of the Assumption, Rev. Father E. J. McDonald united in marriage Miss Fern Walker and Harry Weiss.
The bride is the youngest daughter of William Walker, of Cresco, Iowa, and is a most popular young lady. The groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Weiss, of near Granger, Minn., and is a most prosperous young farmer. The attendants were Miss RInilda and Walter Weiss, sister and brother of the groom.
The bride was attired in a gown of cream satin messaline and chiffon and silver lace and beads and wore white satin slippers and wore a veil and orange buds; while the bridesmaid wore embroidered net trimmed with white silk and wore white satin slippers. The groom wore attractive blue serge while the best man wore a grey suit.
After the ceremony, a dainty wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Patterson, after which they went to the home of the groom’s parents where an elegant wedding dinner was served for the relatives, and at six o’clock for the relatives and some of the friends.
The evening was spent with dancing and in the early morning hours they all returned to their homes, giving congratulations, and leaving a lot of nice presents.
