Happily Wed.
Francis Dvorak and Miss Grace Buckley married in Lourdes June 6th 1916.
Married in queen rose month of June life will be one long honey moon—
{Illegible} on the 6th of June at 6 o’clock in the peaceful hour of the morning a wedding party slowly wended its way up the steps of Our Lady of Lourdes church and down the aisle to the altar. This was the day that Grace Buckley and Francis Dvorak launched their ship on the sea of matrimony. Reverend J. J. Norris pronounced the words that made them husband and wife.
Ralph and Clara Buckley the brides only brother and sister were the sole attendants. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Buckley and is an enchanting country lass of many accomplishments.
She was charmingly robed in a gown of white crepe de chine and white satin—mother of pearl and ropes of beads were used in trimming the garment. A silk shadow lace train arranged in butterfly effect completed the costume. She was further adorned with a wreath of orange blossoms and a long lace trimmed veil and carried a shower bouquet of white roses and sweet peas.
The groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Dvorak and is an intelligent young man of upright quality and we trust that he will make life happy for the girl whose heart and hand he has won. The groom wore the conventional black and a bouquet of orange blossoms. The groom’s man also wore a bouquet of orange blossoms and was attired in a french grey suit.
A gown of white crepe de chine trimmed in gold lace was worn by the bride’s maid who also wore a bouquet of orange blossoms and carried a wreath of pink roses and sweet peas. On their return to the Buckley home a bounteous wedding breakfast was served, under a large wedding bell and drapes of white garlands. The bride’s cake was ornamented with a white altar with figures of a bride and groom under a white bell and orange blossoms. The newly weds departed for a honey moon to Chicago and will be back to their many friends after June 15th. They will commence house keeping on the groom’s farm near Cresco immediately on their return where we trust that earth’s choicest blessings may shower upon them with no end of happiness—
