Anniversary and wedding.
On Wednesday evening, Jan. 19th, at 8 o’clock, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Bigalk, on Third Ave. East, was held an anniversary and wedding.
Twenty-nine years ago, on Jan. 19th, at Juneau, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Bigalk were married. On Wednesday evening their daughter, Esther Mae, was united in marriage to Mr. Roger L. Clark, a young business man of this city.
The bride was daintily attired in white, wearing the veil and wreath worn by her mother at her wedding twenty-nine years ago.
The groom wore the conventional black, having on the bouquet worn by Mr. Bigalk when he was married.
The young people were unattended, but as they came to the parlor, where Miss Josephine Bigalk was playing a wedding march, they were escorted to the point selected for the ceremony by Miss Emma Gericke. The words that made the young couple man and wife were pronounced by Rev. J. A. Pettit, pastor of the Baptist church, in the presence of the family and only immediate relatives
After congratulations had been extended, the family and guests sat down to a bountiful dinner, to which every one seemed to do full justice.
Mr. and Mrs. Clark will be at home, in their new home in East Cresco, after Feb. 1st. They are planning for an extended trip later.
The young people, beginning life as they do with the most promising outlook, may rest assured of the good wishes of a host of friends for the largest real success in life.
To Mr. and Mrs. Bigalk, also, friends would extend a hearty wish for many happy returns of their wedding anniversary.
