On last Thursday afternoon at one o'clock, Dec. 9th at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ole T. Hovey, occurred the marriage of their daughter Miss Clara Gustine to Mr. Edward J. Hagen. Only a few of the intimate relatives were present. Rev. H. Normann of the Cresco Lutheran Church officiated. Immediately after the marriage a wedding dinner was served and a very pleasant time in a social manner was spent together in the afternoon.
The bride was attended by rhe{sic} sister, Olena, and the sister of the groom, Dena Hagen. The groom was attended by his brother Emil and a cousin of the bride, Melvin Benson.
The bride was attired in a white messaline silk dress and wore a veil and carried a bouquet of roses, ferns and carnations.
The bridesmaids wore light blue silk crepe de chine, and the groom and best man wore navy blue serge suits.
The young couple were the recipients of many useful and beautiful presents. They left Friday for Forest City where they will spend some time. We are all sorry to lose this young couple from our midst but all join in wishing them a long, happy wedded life and much success in their new home.
