Married.
On Thursday evening, October 28th, a company of relatives gathered at the home of Mrs. Emma DeNoyelles to witness the marriage of Miss Florence May Fields and Mr. Leon Caward DeNoyelles, Rev. J. A. Pettit of the Baptist church performing the ceremony.
Miss Matilda Smith, of Waterloo, sang “Because” before the couple descended the stairs and Mrs. E. L. Weaklen played the wedding march. The bride was charmingly gowned in white taffeta silk and carried a handsome bouquet of white roses and lilies of the valley. After congratulations, an appropriate two-course luncheon was served by the Misses Alice Caward, Marjory Huntting, Thelma Thompson and Eva Pettit.
Mr. and Mrs. DeNoyelles left on the evening train for a short wedding tour and will return to Cresco where they will make their home. The groom is employed in the Caward Grubber Co. with his uncle R. S. Caward. The best wishes of a host of friends goes with these young people to the new home just started.
The out of town guests were Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Caward and son Walter and Harry Caward and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Caward and two sons of Mason City, Mrs. Frank Caward of Waterloo and Miss Ella Caward of Decorah.
