James--Howard Nuptials.
At the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Howard, seven miles east of town, on last Wednesday evening at 8 o’clock occurred the marriage of Miss Juliet Elizabeth Howard to Mr. Norman James, of Cresco. To the strains of Lohengrin’s Wedding March the contracting parties preceded by Miss Dorothy Precious as flower girl, and accompanied by Miss Carrie Edna Fifield as bridesmaid and Mr. William Clinton Howard as groomsman passed down the bridal path to a beautifully arranged leafy bower, where, in the presence of over one hundred guests, the Rev. Will Kirwin, pastor of the Methodist church Cresco, received their vows and pronounced them husband and wife. The music which continued throughout the service was rendered by Miss Sylvia Ashley at the piano and Miss May Ashley with the violin. After the ceremony a most enticing two course supper was served under the direction of the bride’s mother, and remembrance boxes distributed.
Mr. and Mrs. James are most excellent young people who have attached to themselves a host of friends wherever they have gone, and who join in wishing them a long and most happy wedded life.
