Beautiful Church Wedding.
A very pretty wedding service performed by Rev. Father Boley, at eight o’clock Wednesday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic church, united in marriage Miss Marie L. Bloomenrader, daughter of Mr. and and{sic} Mrs. William Bloomenrader, and Dr. Francis M. Phillips.
A large number of relatives and intimate friends were assembled in the church, which was very beautifully decorated in the wedding colors, pink and white, streamers being brought from the corners to the chandeliers and and{sic} a large white wedding bell hanging from a draped arch, in honor of the event.
The bridal party entered the church, to the notes of the Lohengrin wedding march, the wedding music being furnished by the church choir.
The bride was beautiful in a dainty white gown of crepe de chien and veil, and carried a prayer book. Miss Mary Anthony, the bridesmaid, was charming in a gown of white chiffon over pink silk. James Neville was the best man. The bridal party was met at the altar by Father Boley who read the service and received the marriage vows, using the ring ceremony.
Immediately after the ceremony the bridal couple and a few relatives and friends autoed out to the bride’s parents, where a prettily appointed wedding breakfast was served. The bride is well known here, having lived here with her parents for several years. She has a wide circle of friends wish her happiness. The groom is a prosperous young business man, and although he has lived here less than a year, coming here from Roscoe, he is very highly spoken of. He is a veterinary and has in this short time built up a fine practice.
Mr. and Mrs. Phillips departed this morning for the Twin Cities, for a visit with relatives and will be at borne in Dell Rapids after February 10.—Dell Rapids Times.
