THOMSON-AUCHMOODY In a simple home wedding at eight o'clock Saturday evening, at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Rachel Auchmoody, River street, Rev. Dr. M. Willett united for life Mr. Robert Thomson of Cresco and Miss Cora Auchmoody of this city. They departed on the night train for New York city and other eastern cities on a honeymoon trip, and will probably spend the winter at some southern resort. It is a union which elicits naught but the heartiest congratulations and good wishes. The bride reared to womanhood in Decorah, and for a number of years in charge of the abstract department of the National Bank of Decorah, is a lady of grace and culture, possessing those rare qualities which make for the best in womanhood, while the groom is a man who not only holds a prominent position in business circles, but alike enjoys the confidence and es¬teem of an extensive acquaintance. He is president of the Cresco Union Savings Bank, and is well and favorably known throughout north-eastern Iowa. We join a host of friends in heartiest felicitations.—Decorah Public Opinion The Plain Dealer joins with many Cresco friends of Mr. Thomson in extending to him and his bride their heartiest congratulations.
