On Tuesday morning, Oct. 7th, at St. Joseph’s church. Cresco, Miss Gertrude Steinmetz, of Cresco, was united in marriage to Fred Reihle, of Dubuque, Father Wagner officiating. Carl Steinmetz, brother of the bride, and the groom’s cousin, Miss Helen Bouska, tooth of Cresco, accompanied them. The bride was attired in cream shadow lace over cream silk and carried carnations. The bridesmaid wore pink silk.
A wedding breakfast was served at the home of the bride’s mother, Mrs. Annie Burns, and the young couple left on the afternoon train for a short wedding trip.
The bride is well known here and deserving of the wide popularity which she enjoys. The groom made many friends during his residence here. He is now with the Brunswick, Balke and Collander Mfg. at Dubuque where they will reside.
