Evans-Trunkey Nuptials.
George Evans and Margaret Trunkey surprised their friends here the first of the week by quietly slipping away to Waterloo and getting married. To be sure we were looking for something of the kind to happen some time, but not with such a suddenness. The ceremony occurred on Monday, Aug. 4th. The happy couple returned to Elma Thursday and received the congratulations of their friends. George is a son of Mrs. and Mrs. E. E. Evans of this place. He is an industrious young fellow who has grown to manhood in the community. His bride is also a native of Elma and has spent all of her life here. For the past few years she has been the efficient assistant in the local postoffice, and if she takes as good care of Mr. Evans as she did of the other mail he will fare pretty well. We wish them a long life of happiness and prosperity.—Elma New Era.
