Wedding Anniversary.
The silver wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Rinn was cele¬brated on the 25th day of June. Mr. and Mrs. Rinn departed for Cresco in the forenoon little suspecting what would take place while they were away. They were hardly out of sight when preparations were being made for a good time and a good time it certainly was. Early in the evening, Mr. and Mrs. Rinn were persuaded to leave their team in town and go for a short auto ride. But instead were taken home where a genuine surprise awaited them. A platform had been laid and music and dancing were in full swing. The house and yard were crowded with relatives and friends from far and near, but Mr. and Mrs. Rinn made the best of it in their smiling way and a good time was enjoyed by all till “peep of day" when all departed wishing Mr. and Mrs. Rinn many more years of happy married life.
After a very appropriate speech, the gifts were presented consisting of a rocking chair from Father Norris, of Lourdes, a silver pitcher and tray from Kate Rinn, of Chicago, a buffet sideboard, a case of silverware, silver sugar bowl and cream pitcher, and silver bread tray, and last, but not least, a pipe. Those who contributed, most of whom were present with their families are:
