River-Karlen Wedding.
Clark River and Miss Ida Karlen were married at the home of the bride’s parents on East Main Street last Thursday afternoon, the wedding being a very quiet affair and something of a surprise to many. They spent a few days in the Twin Cities, arriving home Tuesday and went at once out to the River farm, which is to be their home. Both Mr. and Mrs. River are well known to our people, their homes having been in Oak Dale Township during their childhood. Later both lived in Columbia, S. D. for several years. They are both young people who have highest respect of all who know them because of their character and worth and everyone wishes them a life of prosperity and happiness. —Le Roy Independent.
