The following marriage licenses were issued during the past week by Clerk Blandin:Leon H. Lipke, 24 . . . . Bonair, Iowa

Mr. Leon H. Lipkie and Miss Cora B. Smith of Bonair were married Wednesday afternoon at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Smith; Rev. Maxfield of Lime Springs officiating. Only the immediate friends being present.
Mr. Lipkie is a young man of sterling worth, while Miss Smith is one of Howard county’s popular young ladies. They departed on the evening train for Madison, Wis., on a short honeymoon. They will be at home on the farm next to Mr. Ab Smith. A host of friends wish them all sorts of happiness.Transcriber’s Note: The groom’s last name is spelled two different ways. Research shows Lipkie is correct.
