MARRIED
At 5 o'clock in the afternoon on New Year's day at the home of the bride. Dr. D. T. Robertson officiating. Miss Ethel B. Friend was united in marriage to Vernie C. Hardy. The wedding was witnessed by only a few immediate relatives of the contracting parties. They will reside in Cresco for the present and will probably locate here permanently, the groom following the occupation of carpenter and contractor. The Plain Dealer extends congratulations.
