On Monday morning, Oct. 30, 1911, at Our Lady of Lourdes Church occurred the marriage of Mr. Frank Neubauer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Neubauer and Miss Abbie Kubik, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Kubik.
At nine o’clock the bridal couple who were attended by the Misses Anna Neubauer and Mary Hawk as bride’s maids and Messrs. James Svoboda and Joseph Neubauer Jr., as best men, approached the alter where the Rev. Father Norris united the young couple in Holy Matrimony.
The bride was becomingly attired in a beautiful gown of white messaline silk with bead trimmings and wore the bridal wreath and veil. The groom wore the conventional black. After the ceremony, the bridal party returned in the autoes to the home of the bride’s parents where a bountiful wedding dinner was served to which all did ample justice. Only a few of the nearest relatives were present.
The afternoon was spent in visiting and social chatting. After supper was served the bridal party left for Schley where a social and successful dance was given in the hall by the groom. After a late hour the wedded couple left for their home taking with them the best wishes of all for a long, happy and prosperous married life.
We are glad to note that they will remain in our midst, as they will reside on a farm at Lourdes. May they taste of every pleasure, joy and love beyond all measure.
