MARRIED
The hospitable home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hill was the scene of a pretty wedding Wednesday noon, when the daughter. Miss Eloise was united in marriage to Mr. Arthur Johnson of Templeton, Iowa. About seventy-five relatives and friends had gathered to witness the ceremony, among them these guests from out of town: G. H. Johnson, wife and daughter Zella, from Carroll, Iowa, parents and sister of the groom; H. L. Strom, wife and two children from Jackson, Minn.; Mrs. L. S. Kniffen, Mrs. J. C. Webster, Miss Winnifred Webster, Emily Beadle from Cresco, Iowa; Judge D. K. Michener, wife and daughters, Misses Clarice, Laura, Lucile and Ailene from Preston, Minn.; Mrs. C. Anderson, daughters Misses Merle and Coila and son Francis, from Preston; Chas. Shrode and wife from Riceville; John A. Johnson and wife and George Smith from Chester.
As the bridal pair descended the stairs accompanied by little Miss Marion Hill as flower girl, and while the Rev. J. W. Bell of Cresco was performing the ceremony the sweet strains of the Mendelsshon wedding march played by the skillful fingers of Miss Helen Hill filled the room with melody.
At the conclusion of the rites the guests were seated to a delicious three-course luncheon, after which the bride and groom left in an auto for Riceville, on their Way to Minneapolis, followed by the good wishes of the assembled guests. Numerous and beautiful gifts testified to the esteem in which the contracting parties are held. They will be at home after September first at Templeton, Iowa, where the groom has recently purchased a drug store.
