The friends and neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Holcomb gathered at their home Friday evening, April 21st, and pleasantly surprised them in honor of their 20th wedding anniversary. The evening was spent in social conversation and music. At the appropriate time in behalf of the company present, Mr. Guy Rutherford, with a few well chosen remarks, presented them with two large rockers, as mementos of the occasion, after which supper was served from the well filled baskets brought by the ladies. At a late hour the company dispersed, wishing Mr. and Mrs. Holcomb happiness and prosperity for many years to come.
