1861-Golden Wedding-1911.
MARSHALL—DUFF—On Feb. 1st, 1861, at Trinity Church, New York, by the Rev. Dr. Vinton Gregory, second son of Lieut.- General Marshall, R. E. of Lipson Terrace, Plymouth, England, to Fanny Kent, youngest daughter of the late John Rutherford Duff, Esq., of London, England. The above item, probably a reproduction of a wedding notice of 50 years ago, is sent us by Mrs. Gregory Marshall, who with her husband, were residents of Vernon Springs for about 40 years, and until they removed to San Jose, Calif, where they now reside. Mrs. Marshall also writes that they are all fairly well, and their many friends here sincerely trust that they may be spared to celebrate many more wedding anniversaries.
