Popular Young People Wed
Wilbur G. Martz and Miss Gretta Goettel were united in marriage at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Goettel, Wednesday forenoon, Sept. 25th, at eleven o’clock. Rev. Robbins performed the ceremony and the couple were attended by Howard S. Martz as groomsman and Miss Minnie Morse as bridesmaid. After the customary congratulations and a wedding dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Martz left on the afternoon train for the cities for a short wedding trip. They will reside in the house which Wilbur recently bought and which has been refitted and handsomely furnished for their home. That it will be a home where happiness and contentment will always abound is the wish of The Independent and a large circle of friends of these estimable young people.
The groom is the youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. S. D. Martz and is the junior member of the firm of Martz Bros., furniture dealers and undertakers. He is a young man of excellent character and good business ability and enjoys the highest respect of all who know him. His bride has lived in Le Roy for a number of years and is known to all as a young woman of a most amiable disposition, as well as one who will make for her husband a loving and capable wife and companion.—Le Roy Independent.
