Wednesday morning, September 4th, at St. Joseph's church, Father Wagner officiating, occurred the marriage of Miss Anna Lickteig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Anton Lickteig, and Frank A. Baker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Baker.

Lickteig-Baker Nuptials.
On Wednesday morning. Sept. 7th,{sic} at St. Joseph's church, Cresco, was solemnized the marriage of Frank A. Baker, and Miss Anna Lickteig. Nuptial High Mass was celebrated by Rev. J. P. Wagner.
The bride was beautifully attired in white silk mesh net over white messeline silk, trimmed with bugle insertion and fringe, and carried a bouquet of cream and white carnations. The groom wore the conventional black. The bride was attended by Miss Mayme Baker, sister of the groom, and Miss Mamie Herold, of Spillville. Both were gowned in Alice blue messeline, trimmed with gold and wore champagne hats. The groom was attended by Victor Perry, St. Lucas, Iowa, and Clem Leichtman, New Hampton, Iowa. After the ceremony, the young couple repaired to the home of the bride where they partook of a sumptuous wedding dinner, the dining room being tastily decorated with hydrangeas and asters. Only the immediate relatives of the two families were present. The young couple will make their home on one of the groom’s father’s farms, south of town.
The bride and groom received many beautiful presents of cut glass, china, silverware and furniture. The bride has been reared to womanhood in this vicinity. The groom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Baker of New Oregoh{sp} twp., and is to be congratulated on his choice of a life companion. Their many relatives ann{sp} friends wish them a long and happy life.
