Marriage license was issued last Friday to Charles W. Balik, 24, of Mason City, Iowa, and Emma A. Svestka, 22, of Jackson Junction, Iowa.

The forthcoming marriage of Chas. Balik and Miss Emma Svestka was announced at the Holy Trinity church Sunday.

The marriage of Miss Emma Svestka to Mr. Charles Balik was solemnized at the rectory of Holy Trinity Church at Protivin Tuesday morning at nine o’clock, Rev, Lakomy officiating at the ceremony.
The bride wore an exquisite gown of white silk serge. Her veil was trimmed with natural roses. The bride’s maid, Miss Ida Svestka wore a blue voile dress and carried a boquet of carnations.
Mr. Joe Wandas served as best man. The reception was held at the Svestka home following the ceremony; the dinner table was decorated with live roses, ferns and carnations.
The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Svestka.
Mr. Balik is employed as railroad fireman. After their trip to the north Mr. and Mrs. Balik will make their home in Mason City, Iowa.
The writer extends the young couple much joy and happiness in their wedded life.
