MARRIED
FARNSWORTH-EVANS—On Wednesday afternoon, February 7, 1912, at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Evans, Rev. Bell of the Baptist church officiating, occurred the marriage of Miss Ora Blanche Evans to Mr. Fay O. Farnsworth, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. O. Farnsworth of Winneshiek. County.
The wedding was a quiet home affair, witnessed only by the immediate relatives of the bride and groom. At exactly half past two, to the strains of the wedding march, played by Miss Gertrude Evans, the happy couple took their places in the parlor where the guests were assembled, and were there united in the holy bonds of matrimony, the beautiful ring service of the Baptist church being used.
The bride was dressed in tan silk and the groom wore the conventional black. After congratulations and best wishes the wedding party was seated to a dainty lunch consisting of coffee, ice cream and cake.
Both of the young people have grown up in this immediate vicinity and are well and favorably known.
After a short wedding tour they will take up their residence with the groom’s parents in Winneshiek County.
May peace, happiness and prosperity follow them, is the wish of their many friends.Source: Twice-A-Week Plain Dealer Feb. 9, 1912, P-FP, C-3
