On Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 20th, at 2 o’clock, at the German Lutheran church, Rev. Pless united in marriage Miss Lydia Derr, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Derr, to Mr. Erwin Bauer, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Bauer.
The bride is one of Howard county’s young ladies, highly esteemed by all who know her.
The groom is one of Davis Corners’ best young men. Erwin is well worthy the bride he has won.
The ceremony was witnessed by a large circle of relatives and friends.
The bride wore a beautiful white net dress and carried a large bouquet of white asters. She was attended by one bridesmaid, her sister. Miss Marie, of Milwaukee, Wis., who carried a boquet of pink asters.
The groom wore the conventional black. His best man was his brother Edward. The groom wore a bouquet of white asters and his best man one of pink.
After the congratulations the bridal party returned to the home of the bride, where an elaborate supper was served and the evening was spent in dancing and playing cards.
Those present from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Adam Schneider and Miss Marie Derr of Milwaukee, Wis., S. W. Brown of Osage, Miss Anna Utke of Caledonia, Minn.
