Wedding Anniversary.
Monday, Sept. 5th, was the 34th anniversary of the marriage of P. M. and Regina Herold and to celebrate the event they were made the recipients of a happy surprise party at their home in the first ward.
Supper was served at the home to over 150 persons and in the evening, the guests together with a large additional number of young people gathered at the W. O. W. hall to enjoy a social evening in dancing to music furnished by Joe and Frank Moudry and Joe Ptacek, while John Svoboda did the honors as floor manager.
Mr. and Mrs. Herold are among the old residents of New Oregon where they accumulated a competence and raised an industrious and respected family of fourteen children, and the whole family are held in the highest esteem by all acquaintances. Mr. and Mrs. Herold were presented with a fine axminster parlor rug and a writing desk and book case combined by the following, nearly all of whom were present:
