Wedding Anniversary.
June 13, 1910, was a merry day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Amos E. Barker, it was the twenty-fourth anniversary of their marriage and over forty friends of their youthful days appeared enmasse at an early hour to commemorate the occasion.
There was feasting from the bountiful supply of delicious viands provided by the welcome guests. There was renewing of old time remeniscenses and friendship, singing of old time songs and instrumental music, and a spirit of unsurpassed geniality seemed to possess the entire company.
Mrs. Barker was persuaded to don her wedding dress which was fashioned after the quaint, obsolete style of almost a quarter of a century ago, and caused much merriment.
Mr. W. H. Tillson presented the congratulations of those assembled in a speech of the merit expressing the respect and good will entertained for Mr. and Mrs. Barker in every community in which they have resided, and as a token of remembrance in behalf of the guests he presented them with a beautiful oak dining table.
Mr. and Mrs. Barker responded fittingly and confessed that they had been genuinely surprised.
The splendid June day was nearly finished when the happy company dispersed.
