Lime Springs Minister Married.
The marriage of Miss Minnie Grobe of this city to Rev. J. C. N. Brandell Peck of Lime Springs, Iowa, took place on Wednesday night at 8 o’clock at the home of the bride, 1061 Lincoln avenue. A large number of friends of the contracting parties were in attendant Rev Alfred Martin performed the ceremony.
The bride wore a gown of white, elaborately fashioned and trimmed with Valenciennes lace. She carried a shower bouquet of lilies of the valley and presented a most attractive appearance. The parlor of the Grobe home, where the ceremony took place, was made beautiful with palms and Easter lilies. The floral decorations were carried out throughout the entire house in pink and white. Preceding the bride to the scene of the ceremony were Alberta Marlin and Grace Jansen who stretched the ribbons, forming an aisle down which the bride walked. Little Florence Peck carried a basket of flowers and walked, directly in front of the bride. Miss Della Parnell played a nuptial program during the plighting of the troths. The ceremony was most impressive. After the congratulations and best wishes were spoken a supper was served to the bridal party and guests and later Rev. and Mrs. Peck departed for their future home in Lime Springs, where the groom is pastor of the Presbyterian church.
Mrs. Peck is most favorably known in Dubuque, having resided here all her life. For several years she has been connected with the work of the Y. W. C. A., and has endeared herself to many friends throughout the city. Rev. Peck is one of the leading clergymen of the denomination in the state and is most favorably known.—Dubuque Telegraph-Herald.
