Culbert-Cunningham Nuptials.
A very pleasant social event was the marriage of Mr. Mahlon L. Culbert, of Cresco, to Miss Olive May Cunningham. which marriage was solemnized at the beautiful home of the bride’s parents on Thursday, June 10th.
At 6 o’clock p. m., the bride and groom entered the parlor to the strains of Mendelssohn’s Wedding March played by Mrs. Walter Slagel, sister of the bridegroom. The impressive service of the Methodist Episcopal church was pronounced by Rev. John Gammons in the presence of a large company of relatives and friends, after which a bountiful feast was served in the dining room.
The contracting parties were born and raised in this community, both families being of our most highly respected citizens.
The presents were numerous and useful. A host of friends will wish the worthy young couple long life and happiness.
