Married in Seattle.
The residence of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Lathrop, 5520 North Terrace St., Seattle, Wash., at 8 o'clock on Monday evening, Feb. 22nd, was the scene of a pretty home wedding when their daughter Miss Winnie was united in marriage to Mr. Frank M., son of Mr. and Mrs. M. O. Mitchell, of Cresco, Iowa, the pastor of the Green Lake Methodist church officiating. Mr. Claude Lathrop, brother of the bride, was the best man, and Miss Olive Sadler, cousin of the groom, was the bridesmaid.
They were married under an arch of ferns and wild Oregon grape vines and the room was profusely decorated with carnations and ferns. The bride and her maid each carried pale pink and white carnations. The bride was dressed in pink and white crepe de chein over pink silk mull.
Only relatives were present: Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Sadler and daughter, of Renton, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Guy Dawes and children, of Tacoma, Wash.; Mrs. Sigler, sister of Mr. Lathrop, and her daughter Edna, of Everette, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dawes and daughter, of Seattle.
Dainty refreshments were served in courses.
The contracting parties are well and favorably know by a large number of acquaintances in Cresco, having been born and reared in this community and leaving for the west only a few months ago. The Plain Dealer joins with the other friends in hearty congratulations.
