Wedding Anniversary
Cresco, Jan. 4, 1904. EDITORS REPUBLICAN Last Tuesday evening about fifty neighbors and friends of Mr. and Mrs. M. S. Lemon gathered at their pleasant country home and completely surprised them, the occasion being their thirty-second anniversary. A most enjoyable evening was spent and a handsome side¬board, two rockers, one dozen silver knives and forks, a dainty china creamer and sugar bowl, and six dollars in money were left as a reminder of the occasion. Refreshments were served from well filled lunch baskets that were brought by the guests, and then a social time was enjoyed by all present. The congratulations not only of their neighbors and friends but of the many acquaintances who respect their long and useful residence among us are extended to Mr. and Mrs. Lemon. To those who by their presence and remembrances helped to make the occasion a happy one Mr. and Mrs. Lemon desire to extend their sincere thanks.
